False Image Decals

False Image Decals

Roger Brown

This set of decals, designed by the artists to reflect their interests and personalities, bears images on the front and text on the reverse. Each artist drew images that related to their then current styles, subjects and design motifs. On the reverse, they made individual contributions in text; Roger Brown listed "likes and dislikes"; Eleanor Dube listed "interests"; Christina Ramberg's contribution is more cryptic, mirroring the lists of scenarios and situations in her notebooks; Philip Hanson's texts resemble his poetic titles.
