Unwind after a long day with a glass of red wine with PAFA. Each week a curator, educator, or other Museum staff member will raise a glass with you and lead an informal discussion about the art world, interesting stories from PAFA’s past, and more.
Since the 1980s, artists in like Sue Coe and the collective General Idea have been responding to another national healthcare crisis – the HIV/AIDS pandemic – and created a body of work that resonates today in powerful ways. Can we learn from their experiences? How is this moment the same or different for artists? Join Monica Zimmerman and Jodi Throckmorton for a conversation about the art of pandemics past and the opportunities for artistic response moving forward.
