Closing Reception | To Almost Tell

The Alumni Gallery is pleased to present To Almost Tell, featuring works by Carla Lombardi (Certificate ‘83), Bettina Nelson (Bachelors of Fine Arts ‘13), and Maisie O’Brien (Certificate-Penn ‘16). This exhibition brings together works that suggest continuing yet unresolved narratives through the artists’ cunning imagery and chosen material formats including ceramic sculptures, mixed media collages, and stop-motion animations. Lombardi, Nelson, and O’Brien’s sculptural and pictorial spaces tell stories that resist closure, challenge conventional scenarios, and ask us to reflect on our own methods of explanation.
