Dr. Oliver H. Evans will assume the role of Interim Dean of the College of Fine Arts. Dr. Evans has been a prominent figure in the higher education and non-profit sectors, bringing over four decades of experience to his position at PAFA. With a distinguished career that includes two presidencies, involvement in academic restructuring, and a steadfast commitment to addressing enrollment challenges, Dr. Evans has consistently demonstrated his passion for advancing institutions and fostering positive change.

Dr. Evans's career includes an 18-year tenure at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, where he held various leadership roles, including President, Vice Chancellor, and Vice President for Academic Affairs. He also served as President of the college's Kendall Foundation.

Throughout his career, Dr. Evans has undertaken several interim leadership positions at universities, such as Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana Institute of Technology, Interim Provost of Mary Baldwin University, Interim President of Kendall College of Art and Design, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Upper Iowa University, and interim provost of Wright State University.

Dr. Evans's academic background includes faculty roles at various institutions, including Western Michigan University, Creighton University, South Dakota State University, Dakota State College, Wright State University, and now the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He holds a Ph.D. and a master's degree in English from Purdue University, as well as a bachelor's degree in English from Albion College.

Currently, Dr. Evans serves as President of Oliver H. Evans Consulting, providing guidance to higher education and non-profit organizations for over 9 years.
