Deon Robinson received his BS in Art and Teacher Education from Fisk University in Nashville, and his MFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Deon has taught extensively, including at the Savannah College of Art and Design and Texas Southern University, and has led classes in storyboarding, digital painting, computer illustration and typography, as well as drawing and painting. His illustration and artistic work include collaborative projects with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Houston Public Library, and the W.C. Handy Foundation. Deon teaches Illustration classes in digital painting, digital print and web design, and narrative projects.
