Board Chair Kevin Donohoe Announces Departure of President & CEO Dr. David R. Brigham

To the PAFA community,

Dr. David Brigham has chosen to leave his position as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) to accept an appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. On behalf of the PAFA Board of Trustees and staff, we offer him our best wishes as he embarks on this new endeavor. At the same time we thank him for his thirteen years of transformative leadership at PAFA.

In collaboration with the board, staff and generous donors, he significantly grew our museum collection, our endowment and our annual giving. He also completed a successful capital campaign that led to the addition of key academic programs, essential academic and administrative facilities and important exhibition spaces. The board will soon form a search committee to oversee the search for our next President and CEO.
