Keep PAFA Strong
As the COVID-19 crisis persists, PAFA has announced that our fall 2020 semester will be conducted through a hybrid model of online and limited in-person instruction, to safeguard the health of our students, faculty, and staff. This major transition is accompanied by significant new costs, including those associated with virtual teaching platforms and other technology, preventative equipment, deep cleaning, and diagnostic testing. In the midst of these evolving changes, PAFA is working to address our students' individual needs while ensuring that we can continue to provide the world-class arts education for which PAFA is known. Our work also prioritizes the care and preservation of PAFA's permanent museum collection of fine art, as well as the continuation of of the Museum's vital exhibitions and programming.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been guided by three objectives: to preserve PAFA's ongoing mission, to protect our community's well-being; and to ensure that PAFA remains financially sustainable in both the short- and long-term. Your contribution to the Alumni Annual Fund will help us to continue to meet our community's evolving needs, and keep PAFA strong during these unprecedented times.
Many of the things PAFA alumni loved about being a student would not be possible without contributions to the Alumni Annual Fund, which the school draws upon frequently to address its most pressing needs—such as student scholarships, faculty sabbaticals, academic resources, and more.
“For me, there was never any alternative to making art as a way of sharing my experiences and way of seeing the world. I've been fortunate to have been encouraged to make art all my life, and at PAFA, I'm surrounded by people who are constant reminders that making a life as an artist is possible in a myriad of exciting, rewarding ways.”—Nadine Beauharnois (MFA '16)
