Mews

Edward Ruscha

This work showcases Ed Ruscha's trademark technique: an ironic Pop art style that makes use of 'low art' sources (such as advertising), combined with a minimalist palette. Against a uniform pale yellow background is the single word "Mews" in off-white Gothic style hand cut letters. The letters appear to float upon the surface of the print, barely visible against the ground.
