Brooklyn-based painter and PAFA alum, Christine Lafuente, calls her paintings "poetic responses to visual experience.”  A graduate of PAFA’s Certificate program, Lafuente was awarded the Louis Ware Memorial Travel Scholarship.  She also earned a Bachelors of Art in English from Bryn Mawr College and a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from Brooklyn College in 2004.  Lafuente exhibits nationally and internationally at Frost and Reed Gallery, New York and London, and Gross-McCleaf Gallery, Philadelphia.  She teaches drawing at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
