Botanical Alla Prima Painting Workshop (In-Person) with Linda Gist
Embody the spirit of spring through fresh, immediate painting. This in-person workshop introduces students to alla prima techniques for capturing the essence of living botanical subjects quickly and spontaneously using pencil and watercolor. Emphasis will be placed on observation, speed, and expressive mark-making.
This approach can be used for preparatory studies for sustained paintings, for building a field sketchbook, or as a finished work in its own right. All levels are welcome.
Note: Tuition includes a $10 materials fee to cover floral subjects.
