Arjan Martins (born 1960), Atlantico, 2016, Pinacoteca Sao Paulo, 195 x 155 cm

Join Curator of Historical American Art Dr. Anna O. Marley and Dr. Fernanda Pitta, Senior Curator at the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, Brasil for a caipirinha and chat about American Art across hemispheric borders.

Curators Marley and Pitta met at an international conference on art academies in the Americas in Brazil in 2016 and shortly thereafter became partners through the Association of Art Museum Curators inaugural engagement program for international curators sponsored by the Terra Foundation.

Pitta and Marley will discuss little known connections between Brazilian and US art worlds in the 19th century as well as in the post-COVID-19 21st century.
