The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts welcomes applications from talented artists and artists in the making from all around the world.


International students are required to submit official language proficiency scores if their primary language is not English. PAFA accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) tests.

In lieu of TOEFL/IELTS, PAFA will also accept the Duolingo English Test.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Eligibility

Undergraduate international students are considered for merit scholarships from PAFA based on the materials provided in their application. Applications received by February 1st will be considered for a merit scholarship. After this date, applications will be considered on a rolling, case-by-case basis. 

International students are not eligible for federal aid, as they are not citizens of the United States.
