Virtual Summer Art Camp

June21 to August 13, 9-3PM, for ages 6-14

Thank you for another successful Virtual Art Camp of Summer 2021!

We plan to do it again in 2022, if needed.

As we continue to navigate a COVID-19 world safely, our creative team and spirited young artists had come together for a 24th summer of fun, friends and art-making. Building on the successes of last summer, virtual camp days have been laid out by professional educators with the developmental needs of campers in mind. Virtual camp days included a well-balanced mixture of:

  • Live Zooming and friendship-making time (prescheduled so your family can plan ahead!)
  • Off-screen activities for independent play and learning (and naps! and yard time!)
  • Hands-on activities with real art materials (art camp should be a little messy!)
  • Small group sizes ensure that campers receive high quality instruction and individual attention from their teachers.
  • Daily movement and mindfulness exercises integrated throughout the day to get the wiggles out

Camp tuition includes an Art Toolbox mailed to your home and a live exhibition every Friday that the whole family can attend, even those living far away.   Each week of camp has a theme, and you can register for a specific week or for the whole summer, whatever works best for your family.

Testimonials from 2020 virtual camp parents

“My three kids (Tate, Conor, and Colette) all attended virtual camps at PAFA this summer. I am blown away by not only the art they produced but also the engagement and experience. I was dubious about virtual camp—as I am sure you all were, too—and I was proven wrong. The teaching was excellent. I am looking forward to a post-COVID world to spend time in Philly and to see PAFA in person. Thank you so much.”

“Njabulo really enjoyed the camp!  He was excited in the morning for art camp to start and he was sad when it was over. The projects were fun and engaging. The summer camp staff did a great job of putting the virtual camp together in a short time frame. It was wonderful to have planned activities and supplies that I did not have to organize myself. Keeping kids active this year has been especially challenging.”
