A double portrait of Beaux's nephew, Henry Sandwith Drinker and his wife, Sophie Hutchinson Drinker, the oil was painted in 1911 at Beaux's home (Green Alley) in Gloucester, Mass. during their honeymoon. Both figures are seen three-quarter length and are shown under a portico (an architectural feature seen in many of the photographs of Green Alley in the Academy Archives). Through the portico, sky, water, and sailboats can be seen in the distance.
