
David Wilson Jordan
Samuel Murray
Jordan (1859-1935) was a painter and studied under Eakins and the Academy in about 1880 and became a good friend and staunch supporter. Jordan was known as a dilettante and, until his marriage at the age of forty-eight, a gallant bachelor and much sought after dancer.
