French-born, New York Based artist, Elizabeth Colomba is known for her classical paintings. Coined as a "new kind of history painter by Vogue, her figurative works create a representation of black people which deviates from the expected roles portrayed in Western visual culture.

Join the artist and PAFA's Curator of Contemporary Art Jodi Throckmorton for a conversation on representation and the artist's work in the exhibition Taking Space: Contemporary Women Artists and the Politics of Scale, currently on view in the PAFA museum.

This a preview for The Group Critique with Elizabeth Colomba on April 16th.
