Lisa Sylvester
Lisa Sylvester received an MFA in painting from Boston University in 1996 and a BA from Dartmouth College in 1993. She has shown her work throughout the region at venues which include Benjamin Mangel Gallery, Nexus Foundation for Today’s Art, Rosenfeld Gallery, the DCCA, Bridgette Mayer Gallery and LGTripp Gallery.
In addition to her studio practice, Sylvester taught drawing and painting for the past sixteen years at a Philadelphia independent school. She has been a visiting lecturer and guest critic at West Chester University and at Delaware College of Art & Design, and has served as a professional mentor in Moore College of Art & Design’s MFA program. Sylvester was awarded a grant from the Leeway Foundation and was a finalist in the Henry Luce Scholars Program.
She teaches drawing and painting classes within the Continuing Education program.
