Workers on Planet Earth

Workers on Planet Earth

Jonathan Borofsky

Borofsky's large lithograph was commissioned by the Philadelphia Museum of Art at the time of the major retrospective of the artist's work in 1984. The print commemorates an important and successful exhibition in Philadelphia, as well as summarizing the exuberant style and figural content that had brought Borofsky fame. Borofsky made two prints for the museum's 'Friends' annual benefit; "Workers on Planet Earth" is the larger of these two related images.
