Small, Medium, Large

Jennifer Bartlett

"Small, Medium, Large," is comprised of a series of one-foot square steel plates covered with a layer of white baked enamel on which she superimposes a silk-screen grid of light gray lines (inspired by graph paper). In this work Bartlett has used a minimalist technical style, reducing her palette to black and white in Testor enamel paint and applying it in strictly-planned combinations and progressions.
