Game Page with Bowling Trophy

Suellen Rocca

"Game Page with Bowling Trophy" presents a proliferation of tiny pictographs representing heroic figures on sports trophies, braids of hair, cars made out of sand or felt, mummified bodies, saws, strange bears, money, jewelry, pies, legs, bow ties, leaky faucets, ice cream cones, and numerous other images. They have been arranged on a loose grid as though they were available for selection in a puzzle or game; alternately they could be meant as symbols to be read as a rebus; they could also be ready for cutting-out and arranging elsewhere in a mysterious game, referred to in the title. Enigmatic, suggestive and precious, the sheet provokes many questions and is a delight to read.
