
Franklin C. Watkins
Harry Rosin
Watkins (1894-1972), studied painting and drawing at the Academy. Rosin and Watkins were both teachers at the Academy in the 1940s. Rosin and his family visited Watkins at his summer studio and home in Avalon, NJ, were he made this bust of Watkins. The plaster cast was exchanged for a Watkins oil sketch of Tory.
