Harry Rosin
A patron of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Eleanor Gray (1920-1967) also had a strong interest in the visual arts and studied painting at the Academy from 1960 to 1963. She and her husband, established a student prize for still-life painting in 1961 that evolved into the purchase prize named for her. Her husband had this bust commissioned shortly after her death. Rosin was given portraits as a guide.
