The work depicts 6 figures in and around a bathing pool. In the lower part of the image a male figure stands in the water with an adult figure sitting on his shoulders. Across the center of the picture a bench runs off both edges. There are four female figures seated and standing on this bench. The figure on the left sits facing front with her legs dangling over the edge of the bench. The figure on the right sits facing half-front with one leg raised and one leg hanging over the edge of the bench. At the center, two female figures stand on the bench facing front. A handrail runs vertically from the pool to the height of these two standing figures. The right figure has her hand resting on the rail. The structures in the image are delineated with a strongly orthogonal geometry, the drawing of architecture and figures executed in very deliberate lines. The work is colored in a very delicate wash, the upper section being bluish violet, the middle section pink, and the water in the pool a pale turquoise blue.
