Kennedy Yanko is a painter-sculptor based in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She works fluently in wood, metal, marble and paint, repurposing natural materials in unexpected, lyrical combinations. Her current work explores the limits of material gesture, and simultaneously reveals innate links between seemingly dissimilar objects.
The student-run Visiting Artist Program brings an outstanding roster of local, national and international artists to PAFA each semester. Through a series of public lectures, critiques, and workshops, the program exposes students and the public to a range of artistic approaches, as well as fostering discussion of contemporary art and ideas.
We're so excited you're planning to visit PAFA!
