Monument Lab: Creative Speculations for Philadelphia

In 2017, Paul Farber and Ken Lum launched Monument Lab in conjunction with Mural Arts
Philadelphia, a remarkable city-wide exploration of Philadelphia’s relationship to public art and historic monuments, which had its “hub” in PAFA’s Morris Gallery. Two years later, the project continues to generate national attention, and this event celebrates the publication of Monument Lab: Creative Speculations for Philadelphia, a living handbook to share reflections on the crucial debates about monuments and public art today.
