When PAFA’s Historic Landmark Building opened in 1876, it was designed as an industrial era icon to inspire audiences to get excited about looking at art. Indulge your love of history with a whirlwind tour of PAFA’s extraordinary collection and building with art historian and PAFA team member Dr. Katerina Romanenko. Explore how the installation of museum exhibitions has evolved over 200 years, discover how the architecture infers the ways a museum functions and make a stop at From the Ground Up to learn about artists whose techniques and subject matter investigate modern placemaking in the 20th century.
