Join Kristina Murray, PAFA's Teen Programs Coordinator and American art historian, for an engaging walk through the galleries to see the many ways American artists approach creating the figure. Highlighting the academy's dedication to the figurative tradition, we will explore artists who both studied and exhibited at PAFA over the course of its over two-hundred-year history and discuss the trajectory of representational art over time. See artworks from an array of exciting historic and contemporary artists, from Charles Willson Peale and Henry Ossawa Tanner to Joan Semmel and PAFA alumni Arcmanoro Niles.
