Family Art Day
Advance registration is required.
Bring the whole family for a fun, creative afternoon at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA)! Family Art Day is a free, all-ages program designed to get everyone making art together.
On Sunday, March 8, PAFA is partnering with the Fabric Workshop and Museum (FWM) to celebrate Threaded Currents, now on view in PAFA’s Hamilton Building. Families who pre-register will enjoy free museum admission, including access to the exhibition featuring fabric works printed by FWM artist interns—among them PAFA’s former Youth Council members.
This month’s make-and-take activity is led by fabric artist Alice Thompson, creator of Kite Curiosities. Using printed fabric, families will learn how to construct their own kites, fly them in Lenfest Plaza for photos, and take their creations home.
