Erika Ranee

Erika Ranee received her MFA/painting from UC/Berkeley. She is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Fellowship in Painting, 1996 and 2021. She was awarded an AIM Fellowship from the Bronx Museum and was granted residence at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She was an AIRspace resident at Abrons Arts Center/2009 and a subsequent studio grantee from The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation/2011. Her work has been exhibited widely in New York: at the Bronx Museum; in The Last Brucennial, BravinLee Programs, David & Schweitzer Contemporary and at the Southampton Arts Center. In the summer of 2018 her work was featured in concurrent groups shows at Geoffrey Young Gallery in Great Barrington, MA; at Lesley Heller Gallery, NYC, at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, NYC and at Freight+Volume, NYC—as well as two concurrent solo exhibitions at Ground Floor Gallery, NY and BRIC/Project Room, NY. In early 2019 her work was featured in a solo show at Lesley Heller Gallery and later that year her work was on view in a group exhibition at Wild Palms in Dusseldorf, Germany. In 2021 her work was featured in exhibitions around New York at Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects, Keyes Art Gallery, Platform Project Space culminating with a solo show at Freight+Volume, NYC. Group shows in 2022 include The Landing Gallery, Los Angeles, CA and at Hollis Taggart Gallery in Southport, CT. She is represented by Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery in NYC. She lives and works in New York.
