Duy Hoàng is an interdisciplinary artist born in Vietnam in 1989 and is currently residing in New York City. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2013 and a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University in 2017. Hoàng has exhibited across the U.S. and internationally over the years. A few prominent ones are Festival Images Vevey in Switzerland; Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina, Serbia; South Dakota State University; Kleine Humboldt Galerie in Berlin; ICA Singapore; Thomas Erben Gallery in New York; Lorber Family Gallery in Israel; the Royal Geographical Society Pavilion, London; Cahoon Museum of American Art, Massachusetts. Some of his notable residencies include La Becque, Switzerland; Rabbit Island in Michigan; Mass MoCA in Massachusetts; ISCP in New York; Maruseppu Artist Residency and Studio, Japan; Mildred’s Lane in Pennsylvania; Fountainhead in Miami; Wave Hill’s New York Community Trust Van Lier Fellowship; amongst others.
