From Clay to Metal: Sculpture Talk & Bronze Pour
This event is SOLD OUT.
PAFA Members are invited to participate in a Sculpture Talk and Bronze Pour.
We will start with a presentation on American figurative sculptor Walker Hancock and the bronze sculpture-making process with PAFA's Sculpture Facilities Manager, John Greig. Learn about Hancock’s renowned Pennsylvania Railroad Memorial (1952), the monumental angel-and-soldier sculpture at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station, and his award-winning seven-decade career.
Then, step into PAFA's foundry to witness the thrilling heat of a live bronze pour!
**Please meet at the West Entrance Lobby off Lenfest Plaza to be escorted up to the Luce Sculpture Study Center**
