Taking Space: Contemporary Women Artists and the Politics of Scale invites viewers to consider how size and repetition can be interpreted as political gestures in the practices of women artists. Curated by Jodi Throckmorton, Curator of Contemporary Art, and Brittany Webb, Evelyn and Will Kaplan Curator of Twentieth Century Art and the John Rhoden Collection. Only Tony: Portraits of Gilbert Lewis highlights the work of Philadelphia native Gilbert Lewis and focuses on his portraits of a single model, Tony, painted through the 1980s and 1990s. Curated by Jodi Throckmorton. On view November 19, 2020 through May 16, 2021.

Roll, Push Pull: Contemporary Prints from the Brandywine Workshop & Archives, brings together a collection of prints gifted to PAFA by Winston and Carolyn Lowe, showcasing the impact of Philadelphia and the Brandywine Workshop on contemporary print making. Curated by Sarah Spencer, Assistant to the Director of the Museum. On view November 19, 2020 to April 4, 2021.
