Black History Month Tour: Entering “The World’s Stage"
Join Museum Coordinator, Christiana Cruz-Council, for a conversation on the intricacies of Black life inspired by artworks spanning three centuries in PAFA’s permanent collection. How did Black culture and art change from the early 19th century to the present? Focusing on Kehinde Wiley's “World’s Stage” series and works by artists like Jacob Lawrence and Mickalene Thomas, we will discuss how Black culture has entered and shaped the stage of the American art world.
