Architecture Tours of PAFA’s Historic Landmark Building

Join us for a guided exploration of PAFA’s iconic Historic Landmark Building, a masterpiece of American architecture designed by Frank Furness and George Hewitt. Discover how its bold forms, innovative materials, and vibrant design helped redefine what a museum could be in the late nineteenth century. The tour concludes in PAFA’s legendary Historic Cast Hall—a space rarely open to the public and one that will be inaccessible for much of the summer due to ongoing improvements—making this a unique opportunity to experience one of the Academy’s most remarkable interiors.
PLEASE NOTE: A significant portion of the tour is outside in Lenfest Plaza (Cherry Street) and on Broad Street and will take place rain or shine, please check the weather and dress appropriately.
Tickets Include:
- All day museum admission
- 20% off food & drinks at the Aloft Hotel across the street
- 15% off at the PAFA Museum Store
Perfect for architecture enthusiasts, history lovers, and anyone interested in Philadelphia’s built environment and artistic legacy.
