Seeing Philadelphia
Free and Open to the Public. Spanning 300 years, visual artists—painters, cartographers, graphic artists, and photographers—have been Seeing Philadelphia from a variety of perspectives: from bird’s-eye views to intimate streetscapes; panoramic vistas to neighborhood parades. The Atwater Kent Collection contains evocative and, in some cases, groundbreaking examples of these varied types of views of Philadelphia. The AKC material will be accompanied by images and writings produced by participants in TRIPOD, an interdisciplinary university-community program of Writers Room.
