Mermaid Fountain
Daniel C. Müller
In February 1898, Müller's entry won a student competition for a drinking fountain to be placed in the Academy. It was finally cast in bronze in 1905 and installed on the ground floor opposite the grand staircase where it remained until about 1925. In the fall of 1986, it was reinstalled in now defunct museum shop.
