Business Neglected

John George Brown

Although well-known for his paintings of urchins and newsboys, Brown only executed one etching, "Business Neglected," which was published in 1884 among 'Twenty Original Etchings' (N.Y. Cassel & Co. for the New York Etching Club). The same plate also appeared in "Gems of American Etching," Vol. II (1885), see 1985.16.7.
