The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts is focused on creating a supportive resident life experience with the unique needs of PAFA students in mind. PAFA housing and residential life programs are designed to enrich the daily lives of our residents, develop a strong sense of community and offer co-curricular training to prepare young artists with the skills they need to succeed.
Located just a few blocks from the PAFA campus, PAFA offers a coordinated housing option in Stiles Hall. Students are able to live on two dedicated PAFA floors with great accommodations, such as, private bedrooms for each student, free washer and dryer access on each floor and full standard kitchens in each apartment. Though not currently required to live in student housing at any point during their time at PAFA, first year students are highly encouraged to give residential life a try during their first year and stay for subsequent years as desired. Transfer students, mid-program students, and graduate students are also welcome to apply for student housing at any point during their time at PAFA.

Though we strongly encourage incoming undergraduates to try student housing in Stiles Hall, this option may not be the perfect fit for everyone. PAFA students range in age, backgrounds and life circumstances, and some students opt to live near PAFA in one of Philadelphia’s many vibrant neighborhoods.
