Open Studio Night 2016
Friday, February 19 // 5 - 9 p.m.
For one night a year, students enrolled in MFA, BFA, Certificate and Post-Baccalaureate programs open their studios to the public.
This highly anticipated annual event offers visitors the rare opportunity to meet PAFA students, see the inner workings of their studios, view their works in progress, and get a sense of how they develop their ideas leading up to the Annual Student Exhibition in May. The ASE is the largest and longest-standing exhibition of its kind, featuring over 1,000 art works of art by PAFA students.
The high quality and incredible diversity in the vision and voice of PAFA’s artists draws thousands of eager art collectors to ASE each year, as the exhibition provides an exclusive opportunity to view and purchase early works by the art world’s next big stars.
For a schedule of events by floor in the Hamilton Building, here is the Open Studio Night guide (pdf)
There is also a list of students in their studios (pdf), broken down by floor.
Visitors are encouraged to follow @PAFAcademy on Twitter and Instagram, and share their photos of Open Studio Night using the hashtag #PAFAOpenStudio.
