Michael Gallagher is a painter whose work moves freely between abstraction and representation. He is represented by Edgewood Orchard Galleries in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, and Schmidt/Dean Gallery in Philadelphia, where he has had six solo exhibitions and has been included in numerous group exhibitions.

His works are in a number of public and corporate collections including Wilmington Trust and the Woodmere Art Museum. He studied at PAFA and was awarded the Excellence in Teaching award in 2007 and 2011.  

Gallagher teaches courses in Drawing/Mixed Media, Still Life Painting, Advanced Still Life Painting and Advanced Painting, the Painting Thesis Seminar, and is a Critic in the Certificate/BFA program. He also teaches in the graduate program as well as courses in the Continuing Education program.
