Neil di Sabato earned his BFA and MFA at the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate at PAFA, where he was awarded a full scholarship based on his drawings. A figurative painter, he has been featured in various solo exhibitions and has been invited and accepted into regional, national and international group exhibitions.
In addition to numerous galleries, his work has been on display at eleven art museums and seven colleges/universities as well as abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia; Tianjin, China; and the Netherlands. Additional recognition has come by way of awards presented, reviews published, presentations at national conferences and invitations to judge exhibitions.
He has hand-colored two prolific suites of prints by Neil Welliver and was elected to review two books on color: a recent book published by Laurence King Publishing (London, England) and an updated 6th edition published by Pearson Prentice Hall.
Since starting at Drexel University in 1979, di Sabato has continued to teach full- and part-time at Temple University, the University of the Arts, Philadelphia University, Moore College of Art & Design and PAFA. He also served as the Director of Continuing Education Programs at both Moore and PAFA.
