If the portraits could talk what would they say? Katerina Romanenko will guide participants through a close-looking tour of portraits in Making American Artists: Stories from PAFA, 1776 - 1976. Participants can look forward to leaning new tools to appreciate and enjoy portraiture while learning about their art historical contexts. It will be an unforgettable hour of conversations around a range of topics, including artistic freedom and the patron's intent; changing identities and aspirations; stereotypes and self-expression; and the interconnection between art, culture, economy, and politics.

Registration includes admission to PAFA's Museum. Tickets are limited.
