They are designed to provide a unique opportunity for you to meet individually with professional representatives from PAFA and receive valuable feedback and guidance on your portfolio before you submit it as part of your application.

Artist Christopher Saucedo's sculpture and works on paper have been presented in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Saucedo is the recipient of numerous awards including recent grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, The Joan Mitchell Foundation, and the New York Foundation for the Arts.

Points of View Speaker Series | What is Contemporary?

As the landscape of ideas, movements and media in contemporary art shifts, how do we keep up? Jodi Throckmorton, Curator of Contemporary Art, offers a whirlwind tour of PAFA’s contemporary art acquisitions over the last four years to illustrate how curators and museums identify artists, themes and objects to bring into their collections, including new works by Cassils, Hank Willis Thomas, Mel Edwards, Ebony G. Patterson, Stephanie Syjuco and partnerships with art-making institutions like the Paulson Fontaine Press in Berkeley, CA.
