"Quentin Morris" Film Screening + Roundtable Discussion with Filmmaker Brice Goldberg and Quentin Morris

This film is a look into the life of Quentin Morris as he reflects on his experience preparing for his first solo exhibition at Blum & Poe gallery in New York City. The screening will be followed by a round table discussion with Quentin Morris, the filmmaker Brice Goldberg, musician Foster Child who provided the soundtrack, and the conversation will be moderated by Morris’ longtime friend and artist, Gerard Brown.

118th Annual Student Exhibition Public Opening

A PAFA tradition returns this spring with the 118th Annual Student Exhibition, featuring nearly 1,000 works by PAFA students on the cusp of their professional careers. Filling two floors of the Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building, the Annual Student Exhibition is one of the most anticipated events of the year for art collectors and art lovers. At the opening, meet the artists, learn about their creative process, and purchase works by America’s up-and-coming art stars.

214th Commencement Ceremony

The 214th Commencement for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts begins at 3:00 p.m. in the Historic Landmark Building's Rotunda. The public opening of the Annual Student Exhibition immediately follows Commencement in the Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building. PAFA welcomes the many family members and friends who are arriving on campus to celebrate Commencement with their graduating students.

Opening Reception | Crosscurrents Exhibition

Crosscurrents is a juried exhibition at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) devoted to bringing together work by undergraduates from peer institutions across the country. Join us for the opening reception of the PAFA's annual Crosscurrents exhibition. Remarks and scholarship announcements with Clint Jukkala, Dean of the School and Didier Willam, MFA Chair will begin at 5:45 pm.

The 25th Annual Student Print Sale

The 25th Annual Student Print Sale will have prints for sale by students in the Certificate, BFA, Post-Baccalaureate and MFA programs. All sales go directly to the students. No print will cost more than $150, and all prints sold will be unframed and unmatted. Member preview: 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Open to the public: 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
