During the Italian Renaissance, the depiction of the human body was redefined by artists such as Alberti, Pollaiuolo, Leonardo and Michelangelo. Hone your own figure drawing skills in the region where figure-based art was revolutionized in this two-week study-abroad class in Rome and Florence! Explore the history of how the depiction of the human body evolved and developed in Italy from the 14th to the 17th centuries at museums and architectural sites of area, including day trips to Orvieto and Bolgna. Further enrich your knowledge in the studio through figure drawing sessions and anatomy lectures at select ateliers.
