Saturday Classes for Middle School Students: 2D Animation

This course will expose students to techniques and approaches to creating movement in a two-dimensional artistic space. Create various characters, storyboards and backgrounds in order to craft a unique hand-drawn animation. Work collaboratively with other students and shoot and edit traditional stop motion animations using professional level equipment and media. All materials provided.

Cost: $300 Non-Members/$255 Family Level Members

Saturday Classes for Middle School Students: Drawing for Comics

This course looks at the tools, materials, and techniques necessary to create sequential art. Learn about figure proportion, character design, facial expressions, and panel layout. Work on traditional bristol board and use digital comic technology to make your comics come to life. There will also be a supervised field trip to look at some exciting comics. All materials provided.

Summer Art Camp

Summer Art Camp sessions take place in PAFA’s Historic Cast Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for one week sessions. The daily schedule includes: 1 morning art session 1 Snack break Lunch in Lenfest Plaza (brought by each camper) 1 afternoon art session Drop off is from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. each day. After-camp sessions are available for an additional fee from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $330 Per Week Non-Members | $280 Per Week for PAFA Family Level Members
