Joel and his wife, Sharon, have been living in Santa Monica for the past five years after years in Philadelphia. He is an engineering graduate of Drexel and holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Penn. Joel was co-founder and CEO of Primavera Systems, an internationally respected project management software company formed in 1983, just as the PC revolution began, and acquired in 2008 by Oracle. Joel is an avid abstract painter building upon 17 years of stone carving and clay classes in PAFA’s continuing education program. He is a trustee of both PAFA and Opera Philadelphia and served on Drexel’s board.
