Founded in 1995, DC Moore Gallery specializes in twentieth-century and contemporary art. The gallery represents over twenty contemporary artists and estates and focuses on early and mid-twentieth century American art movements such as American Modernism, African American Art, Social Realism, Regionalism and Magic Realism.
DC Moore Gallery organizes approximately ten to twelve exhibitions a year, and is committed to scholarly presentations that range from historical overviews of specific periods or themes, to focused one-person exhibitions, to major career retrospectives. The gallery publishes exhibition catalogues for many of these shows with essays by well-known art historians and critics.
