We can't stress enough the benefits to the potential graduate and
undergraduate student in visiting our campus here in the Museum
District of Philadelphia. Our facilities in the newly renovated
Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building are extraordinary. Prospective
students coming to Academy First Friday
or for an interview are encouraged to bring examples of recent,
original artwork. Be sure and reserve a time for your portfolio
review. Ideally, the best way to visit with us is at one of our Academy First Friday events, held the first Friday of most months throughout the year. Visit our Academy First Friday & Information Session page for a complete list of First Friday events. However, we know that these events may not meet the needs of all of our potential applicants, so we also offer individual tours and portfolio reviews. For 2007-2008, we are instituting 2 new events: our Graduate Portfolio Review (November 2, 2007 exclusively for Post Baccalaureate and MFA candidates), and Behind the Scenes of the ASE (May 16, 2008) for all prospective students interested in seeing our Annual Student Exhibit, the oldest and one of the largest student shows in the country. Visit our Academy First Friday page to reserve your spot. If you would like to schedule an individual visit, tour or portfolio review, please e-mail us at admissions@pafa.edu or call (215) 972-7625 at least two weeks prior to the date you would like to visit. Our goal is to meet your needs, and we will do the best we can to accomplish that goal. We are very proud of the Academy and its outstanding students and faculty. Exciting things are happening here. Come check us out. Best wishes for a great year. |
