Welcome to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Financial Aid Information Page!
The
Financial Aid Office at the Academy is here to assist students in
affording a credential in the area of fine arts. The Office awards aid
from many different sources, Federal, State and Institutional funding.
Financial aid is awarded on the basis of need and merit (portfolio
ranking). Approximately two-thirds of the students at the Academy
receive some form of financial assistance.
The Academy can
charge a relatively lower tuition than many other private schools
because its endowment and fund-raising efforts underwrite a significant
percentage of the total cost of tuition. Please refer to the tuition
link for the listing of the current tuition charges, fees and expenses.
If
you have any concerns, please feel free to call the Financial Aid
Office at (215) 972-2019. To apply for assistance a student must
complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students completing this form will be automatically considered for all funding sources awarded at the Academy.
- When filling out the FAFSA, please be sure to use the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts School Code 014653.
- If you would like to electronically sign the FAFSA, you must first obtain a PIN (Personal Identification Number). Parents need their own PIN.
- When filling out a Master Promissory Note to obtain a Stafford Loan, please use the School Code 02107300.
International Students
The Academy
offers a limited amount of scholarship funds to international students
based on portfolio ranking and the ability to pay. These funds do not
cover the entire cost of tuition and expenses. Therefore, students
must seek out additional resources to obtain supplemental
funds. Please refer to the tuition page to estimate your cost of
attendance.
In order to be considered for Academy funds, you must complete the International Students' Aid Application .
If you need help looking for additional resources, the eduPASS website will aid you in all areas of research. It contains information about many International student issues and topics.
Loans
Loans are now becoming available to International students. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for details.
If you have any additional concerns, you can reach the Financial Aid Office at (215) 972-2019.
You
should not complete the FAFSA, instead you are required to complete an
internal application, please call the Financial Aid Office
(215-972-2019) to receive a copy of this form or click on the link
